I painted this figure with great pleasure. It's nicely sculpted and came with Romeo Models' quality. The history of Thermopylae made this project even more interesting.
The decorative motives on the Hoplon (shield) are a continuous spiral (symbol of fire) the right oriented swastika (symbol of the unconquered), and the four radial spoke wheel (symbol of the chariot of the God of War).
